In the early 1940s, Willy Breitling was already dreaming of a time after war, when utility would give way to unbridled optimism. He began designing a chronograph that would be functional, but also undeniably elegant and infinitely wearable – in his words, “the unmistakable stamp of impeccable taste”. He called this new line the Premier.
